2012 was our fourth vintage producing wine from Wohler vineyard near Forestville in the heart of the Russian River Valley appellation. The vineyard was replanted in 2005 – 2006. Pinot noir clone Wadensville 2A forms the foundation of this vineyard-designate wine. Clones 115, 667 and 828 were blended to provide layers of texture and flavor. This wine reflects the renowned terroir of the Goldridge loam soils in this section of the Russian River Valley. This 2012 vintage of Wohler Vineyard Pinot noir shows a more mature complexity and depth and the vineyard continues to prove its potential to produce distinctive Pinot noir.
