There is an explosive array of aromatics including pine trees, earth, fresh herbs, flowers, pie spice and berries. On the palate is dark red cherry, rhubarb, plum, spice, with a freshness and structured acidity. The finish is long and generous. The 15% whole cluster gives the wine incredible complexity and hits of fresh herbs that would be picked for the kitchen. Smelling this wine immediately takes me to the vineyard, high in the forest in the hills of Mendocino.
