The Montgomery Vineyard 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon has a deep ruby/purple color and beautiful blueberry and cassis fruit enhanced by a deep aromatic nose. Two years of aging in 80% new French oak barrels, together with three years of bottle aging, has resulted in a wine which is nicely textured and superbly balanced with a long, silky finish. The tannins are subdued to make it readily approachable now, and yet this wine should hold for more than 20 years.
